The Top 10 Spoon Songs & a Band Retrospective

Yesterday Spoon released their eighth LP, They Want My Soul, and it’s no surprise that Spoon is the most critically praised band of the 2000’s with the highest metacritic score yet.

Spoon of course started in Austin and Britt Daniel is from Temple, Texas not far outside Austin. Check out the top 10 Spoon songs through their catalog with many you don’t know about, and a few you do.

#10 – Metal Detektor

Metal Detektor is one of the songs from Spoon’s major label debut 1998’s A Series of Sneaks. A  lo-fi, punk, tripped out song that remains sweet. Their being dropped, followed by classic songwriting would then turn the band into an indie darling then into mainstream success.
